The 360 Deal

by Syd Schwartz on 3/15/2013

I am honored to contribute an article to Andrew Dubber's newly published book, The 360 Deal.  Andrew's idea is pretty cool...he asked a bunch of musicians and music industry professionals to contribute short articles of advice (of about 360 words) targeted to those starting out in the music business.  All proceeds from sales of this book will benefit Music Basti - a youth-led charity in India which brings music workshops to homes for children affected by extreme poverty.  The book is available now and features great articles by folks like Derek Sivers, Ariel Hyatt, Bruce Houghton, Ian Rogers and a whole lot more.

So what are you waiting for?  You must know someone who's thinking about getting into this crazy business and could use some advice.  Great content at a great price benefiting a great cause...go for it.

Augmented Reality: More Like Harry Potter Than Star Trek

March 9, 2009

Tweet I’ve seen two examples of “augmented reality” today, this article about Topps baseball cards in the NYTimes, and the solar/wind power site that GE has set up. There are some other examples in this YouTube video: Really neat stuff though it will need to quickly move past the novelty factor to have staying power [...]
